Fish Price Update System
The Fish Market Price Information System (FMPIS), a flagship initiative of the NFDB, gathers the prices of economically significant inland and marine fish species and analyzes fish price data at fish markets in major cities and towns.
Fish Price data collection: The appointed enumerators from State/UTs retrieve the daily fish pricing data from retail and wholesale fish marketplaces nationwide. There is currently data on the prices of 138 different kinds of fish (95 marine and 43 inland).
